Rome has been added to Meat MUD Classic

For those of you who are old-timers from the original Meat MUD, one of the missing areas that was part of Meat MUD but was not included with the Envy MUD code (from which Meat MUD Classic is based) is Rome.

Rome is an excellent area for a wide range of players, there are low level mobiles for new players to fight, and there are also mobiles for mid-range and high level characters.  There is also some great equipment and items to be found, the most valuable of which is worn by the Roman gods and goddesses.

As a warning I thought it prudent to mention that the gods and goddesses are much more powerful than in their CircleMUD incarnation due to the number of levels currently available on Meat MUD Classic - Jupiter is now one of the most powerful NPCs in the entire world.  Also, be careful in the aqueducts, they are still heavily infested with slime balls who will attack anything that moves.

Old-timers may also remember that the Elemental Canyon was traditionally located outside of the east gate of Rome.  It has been relocated to this traditional location.  It is no longer possible to reach the Elemental Canyon south of the entrance to the Drow kingdom.

To reach Rome, take the Midgaard river west until it opens up into the sea.  Head northwest to the Tropical Sea until you reach the dock.  This dock used to serve no purpose - but it now provides access to the southern gate of Rome.

Please let me know if you find any bugs.  There were quite a few that I've already found and quashed, but it is possible that there are more.  I also wanted to mention that the shops are fully operational (which was not true in the old Meat MUD, but I couldn't resist getting them working here).
